CONDITION MONITORING

HMS Global is a leading provider of customized solutions for those who need to monitor the condition of rotating equipment in order to optimize their profitability, productivity, and equipment lifetime. Conditional monitoring of rotating equipment is essential to prevent unexpected breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve safety.

Vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and acoustic emissions analysis are common techniques used for condition monitoring of rotating equipment. With the right tools and techniques, organizations can detect potential problems early and minimize the risk of failure.

1. Vibration Analysis Services

Vibration analysis technology is used to identify the fault frequencies in the motor, pump, fan, blower, compressor, turbine, generator, gearbox, engine, etc. It is an especially useful tool to determine the cause of vibration in mechanical equipment. In this technology, an accelerometer is mounted on a vibration testing machine. The machine provides vibrations of different frequencies and amplitudes to the machine being assessed with ISO-10816 standard.

HMS Global is a specialty firm offering services relevant to the diagnostics and maintenance of rotating equipment. Our team of ISO-18436 certified vibration analysts have years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, Marine, Manufacturing and Power Industries.

We have advanced dual channel Portable vibration measurement devices that can record overall vibration amplitude, FFT spectrum, Phase reading and Time waveform, etc.

The following faults detect by vibration analysis-

  • Unbalance
  • Misalignment
  • Gear faults
  • Bearing defects
  • Resonance
  • Electrical faults
  • Soft foot
  • Mechanical Looseness

2. Laser Alignment- Shaft Alignment & Geometry Alignment.

HMS Global is leading laser alignment service provider based on Dubai which is covering the Middle East and south Africa.

We have well certified laser alignment engineers to perform the alignment of various equipment.
The laser alignment application where we can implement and reduce the downtime maintenance and increase the life of equipment’s.

  • Laser alignment of Motor and pump
  • Laser Alignment of Direct drive fan
  • Laser Alignment of Gearbox
  • Laser Alignment of Engine and Propeller shaft
  • Laser Alignment of Engine and Fifi pump
  • Laser Alignment of Engine and Generator
  • Belt drive Laser Alignment
  • Laser Alignment of Motor and Compressor
  • Laser Alignment of Turbine and generator

3. In- Situ Machining and Line Boring.

HMS Global has mobile tools which are capable to perform the in-situ machining and line boring.

  • Boring of main bearing or camshaft pockets standard and oversize
  • Boring of stern tubes, large diameter, and tapered bores
  • Centerline shift in horizontal and vertical direction
  • Large and small scale tapered boring.
  • Machining of engine lower liner landing surfaces for re-sleeving
  • Machining of thrust faces
  • Re-bushing of main bearing and camshaft pockets
  • Single pocket boring standard and oversize

4. Chockfasting & Industrial Grouting.

HMS Global is a leading Chockfasting & Industrial Grouting service provider. We specialize in the installation of chock fasting of main engine, gearboxes, windlass winches and industrial machinery. Our team of experienced professionals are highly trained and knowledgeable in the field and can provide comprehensive solutions to any challenges that may arise. We understand the importance of providing a reliable and cost-effective solution and strive to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
We have manufacturing certified and experienced staff to perform Chockfast on various machineries.

Material we are using for Chockfast: Durasin, Chockfast orange, Loctite Mixmaster Marine Chocking

  • Chock fasting of Engine and Gearbox foundation.
  • Chock fasting of Mooring Winch foundation.
  • Chock fasting of propeller stern tube.
  • Chock fasting of Fifi Pump
  • Chock Fasting of Rudder Carrier Housing
  • Grouting of Heavy Industrial motor foundation
  • Grouting of Heavy Industrial pump foundation

5. In-Situ Dynamic Balancing Services of Impellers.

In-situ or on-site balancing is the process were correcting the unbalanced rotating equipment like fan, blower generator, turbines on site without dismantling the whole equipment.

There are two methods of correcting the unbalance-

  • Single plane balancing
  • Dual plane or multi plane balancing

HMS Global has ISO 18436 certified and experienced engineers to perform on the in-situ balancing with advanced tools and software.

  • In-situ dynamic balancing of ID/FD/PA Fans
  • In-situ dynamic balancing of Blowers
  • In-situ dynamic balancing of cooling Tower fans
  • In-situ dynamic balancing of pump
  • In-situ dynamic balancing of Motor

6. Electrical Current Signature Analysis.

Motor current signature analysis (MCSA) is a condition monitoring technique that can distinguish the fault frequencies in the spectrum. This makes MCSA ideal for identifying the rotor bars bearing defects in motor. MCSA is an online health monitoring technique that is used to identify electrical faults in rotating machinery.

7. Thermography Services.

Thermography is a procedure to measure the thermal characteristics of a surface by subjecting it to infrared radiation, which is useful to detect the hot spots, or the cold spots, which can then be investigated to identify their cause.

We provide infrared thermography onsite inspection in Marine and Industries.

  • Thermography of Electrical and electronics Panels
  • Thermography of Refractory
  • Thermography of Process plant
  • Thermography of Mechanical Component
  • Monitoring the products through Thermography
  • Thermography of High voltage substation

8. Natural Frequency Testing.

Every machinery has a natural frequency, and that frequency must be not close to the running frequency of machinery.

When the natural frequency and running frequency overlap, the machine will experience undesirable vibrations that can cause severe damage to the machine and its components.

Our certified analysts apply their expertise in the field to identify the natural frequency of any machinery or component. They then make recommendations on how to improve safety and performance, meaning a more efficient and cost-effective solution for our customers.

9. Noise Measurement and Octave Band Analysis.

To monitor the noise level in the component and ship/vessels engine rooms. HMS global has a variety of portable tools to monitor the noise levels.
